Pharmacy slide deck

This colorful PowerPoint presentation is a great example of how a clean, simple template can have a big impact. Because the slide deck was long and contained so much information it was important to keep the design flexible and easy to work with. Bold, relevant images and complementary colors add some visual pop, without overwhelming the content.

Gymboree party invitation

This lucky little two-year old got to have a Gymboree birthday party, complete with cake, parachute time and bubbles. The invitations set the tone for the good times ahead with fun, girly colors, playful shapes and casual fonts. The overall effect is cute and age appropriate — with nary a princess or unicorn in sight. (Not that we don’t love a good princess now and then).

Defining PrinceCiples

Last spring Ron Prince of PrinceCiples, Inc. asked LLB Designs for a logo update as well as help with some new business cards, letterhead and website design. The new branding materials are clean, sharp and attractive, with a bold blue and white color scheme and professional, classic fonts.

The new PrinceCiples website is a WordPress theme, edited to blend with the rest of the company’s branding and to fit their specific content needs. While a developer handled the more technical aspects of building the site, LLB Designs coordinated the images, colors, fonts and layout. WordPress websites are fairly simple to update, include built-in search engine customization, and are a relatively inexpensive way to get an impactful web presence up and running in a shorter amount of time. The PrinceCiples site includes dynamic rotating images on the home page, custom graphics and downloadable interactive PDF files.

Cardpool business cards

Have you heard of Cardpool.com? It’s a cool website that lets you sell gift cards that you’re not likely to use and to buy others that you’ll definitely use — at a discount. So smart. When it came time to design the founder’s business cards, a gift card look was catchy and appropriate. The company logo is of course center stage on the front, and the back features the contact information arranged to resemble the back of a gift card. Rounded corners complete the effect and bar codes that actually work — the phone number comes up when scanned — add that little something extra.

Lingerie shower invitation

Ah, the lingerie shower. There is nothing like planning a party that has to somehow combine class and underwear to challenge even the most capable of hostesses. Fortunately it is possible and these little invitations are a great start. Combining black with shades of pink creates a look that is sophisticated but not too racy, while flirty typography and girly details such as polka dots and bows add a touch of whimsical fun.

Attainable Growth logos

This local trainer in Austin, TX requested a logo and business cards for his at-home personal training company, Attainable Growth. The client envisioned silhouettes of both a man and a woman in a simple, eye-catching black and white color palette. Graphics for a business that focuses on body image is pretty tricky, and it is important that the silhouettes convey just the right blend of sexiness (but not too sexy!), confidence (but not cocky!) and fitness (but not overdeveloped!).

The result is this poised pair as well as a combination of serif and sans-serif fonts for a look that is both bold and approachable.

Developing People workbook

The Devon team recently put together a training program on Teaching and Developing People, complete with a workbook and coordinating PowerPoint presentation designed by LLB Designs. The Devon color palette drives the vibrant look while attractive photos and playful icons add additional visual interest.

Custom tables and diagrams are a great way to keep a lot of information organized and easy to read, and white space allows plenty of room for filling in the blanks and other notes as employees participate in the sessions.

Rice University training workbook

Ron Prince of Prince Ciples, Inc. asked LLB Designs for some help designing a training workbook for a session with some of the Rice University football team in Houston, TX. The four hour workshop was developed specifically for a handful of football players that were selected for a leadership team, and this accompanying workbook was distributed at the training. Age appropriate photos and images were incorporated into the Prince Ciples style and branding for a clean, professional look with an all-around impact.

PR initiatives are a key part of any good marketing plan and with good reason. Media mentions typically have a lot more street cred than paid advertising, and on top of that they come without the hefty price tag. So pretty much the coolest way to market your product or service, right? Once you have secured a clipping or two make the most of it and be sure that people see them! Have the clippings formatted into a consistent template and post them on Facebook or Twitter, use them for press kits, frame them in your office and keep a soft copy on hand to attach with any future proposals or pitches.

Pictured above are two fantastic organizations that have been very successful in garnering media attention: Operation Shower is a non-profit organization that honors military families and the sacrifices they make by throwing baby showers and with “showers in a box” for pregnant or expecting military families. Cubes&Crayons is an innovative company in Mountain View, CA that couples flexible office space with drop in infant and childcare onsite.
